Annet Mahendru

Mahendru is an Afghani female born of an Russian father and an Hindu Indian mother. She is fluent in German, Russian and English as well as French Persian and Hindi. Annet Mahendru has a Russian-Indian father. An improvised performance she choreographed at the age of 11 that aired on German television, turned her into a Russian dancer, who became a snow maiden. After high school, she graduated and earned a bachelor's degree from the Department of English from New York. In New York, she studied acting at the HB Studio. In the following years she moved to Groundlings School and took up various projects. Her parents were a Hindu as well as an Indian father, Ghanshan K Mahendru and a Russian mother Olga. The family moved from Afghanistan to East Meadow New York, along with her father, when she was 13, and is now starring with Matthew Rhys and Keri Russel in FX's The Americans. Her most well-known role is the ex- KGB agent Nina Sergeevna Krilova in FX's The Americans. She was a character who appeared on Fox's The Following, and NBC's The Blacklist.
